Join us to officially usher in the holiday season in the Village by lighting up the Village holiday tree!

And this year we are adding a new element to the Tree Lighting: The Tosa Cookie Trail! It’s a full evening of holiday cheer in the Village.

EVENT SCHEDULE

3:30 pm
• Tosa Cookie Trail check-in and box pick-up begins
• Purchase mulled wine, hot chocolate, popcorn, and more
• Food donations will be collected for the Tosa Cares holiday food drive (or click here to donate online)
Root Common park at Wauwatosa Ave and Harwood (south side of Wauwatosa Ave)

4-7 pm
Tosa Cookie Trail cookie walk - sorry, the 2025 Tosa Cookie Trail is sold out.

5 pm
Village Tree Lighting ceremony begins, in the pocket park at Wauwatosa Ave and Harwood (north side of Wauwatosa Ave); McKinley Elementary choir students perform

5:20 pm
Countdown to light up the tree—and Santa arrives on a fire truck!

5:30-7 pm
Celebrate in Root Common:
• Free Santa visits (5:30-6:30 pm)
• Drop your letter to Santa in Santa’s Mailbox, courtesy of Shop Privy - every letter that gets dropped in the box will receive a reply from Santa!
• “The Grinch” (2018 animated movie) will be shown on a big screen
• Mulled wine, hot chocolate, popcorn, and other treats will be available to purchase
• Food donations will be collected for the Tosa Cares holiday food drive (or click here to donate online)
